Unconditionally loves and encourages small group participants. People are more receptive to spiritual truth when they have been loved. People want to know how much you care before they care how much you know.
Hold the members accountable.
Be a model of faithfulness. In Luke 6:40 we read, “Everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.” Facilitators must be faithful to always arrive early, pray consistently for your small group participants, know the memory verses fluently and have all assignments completed.
